When a Soldier Comes Home, He Finds it Hard...

When a soldier comes home, he finds it hard....

..to listen to his son whine about being bored.

.....to keep a straight face when people complain about potholes.

to be tolerant of people who complain about the hassle of getting ready for work.

...to be understanding when a co-worker complains about a bad night's sleep.

..to be silent when people pray to God for a new car.

...to control his panic when his wife tells him he needs to drive slower.

...to be compassionate when a businessman expresses a fear of flying.

....to keep from laughing when anxious parents say they're afraid to
send their kids off to summer camp.

....to keep from ridiculing someone who complains about hot weather.

.....to control his frustration when a colleague gripes about his coffee being cold.

....to remain calm when his daughter complains about having to walk the dog.

.....to be civil to people who complain about their jobs.

....to just walk away when someone says they only get two weeks of vacation a year.

....to be forgiving when someone says how hard it is to have a new baby in the house.

The only thing harder than being a Soldier...

Is loving one.

The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not.

When the people fear their government there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty.

Quit complaining your husband is gone for 3 days while mine is for 12 months!

This is a glimpse into the life of a military wife while hubby is deployed.  I need a hobby and knitting just ain't my thang!   Oh this should be interesting.  I see it going a little something like this....

"What, you "&^%$"...I'm on edge and you cant even get my freakin order right".

"Jill, don't you be sneakin out to see ol Curtis!"

"Oh, so your tellin me the Warren Theatre only gives military discounts on weekdays??? What, are they not military on the weekends. Turd nuggets".

Other's facebook posts "ohhh my husband is out of town for 3 days, I sure do miss him..."  ME- "SHUT THE H UP YOU PATHETIC HAG, I WILL TRADE YOU ANY DAY, QUIT YOUR COMPLAINING...IT IS A SLAP IN US MILITARY WIVES FACES". beware of this one, I may just lose it.

Other's facebook complaining posts "Oh this just sucks...blahblahblah"... ME- "Oh really now does it, there ya go again ya old haggg.. quit your complaining, you could have bullets comin at your face or stuck at home talking to your dogs b/c your husband is deployed".

So, for all of you that want to have a few good laughs and maybe some cries, keep watching for my notes ;)

WHAT I WILL MISS MOST WHILE YOUR DEPLOYED!

I am tagging my peps that deal with me most, have been there done that, are to be there done that and so on. So if I lose it, they know how to prepare to calm me down (give me back rubs, and kiss my forehead lol). If I left anyone out, sorry it is late and my brain is tired.

There are so many things that I love about you Corey.  There are so many  things I will miss.  I told myself when I was having the urge to share what is on my mind, I would write it in a note to share with others who may be feeling/felt what I am feeling or those who have never had to experience what we are about to.  Here it goes.

I will miss:

You popping my thumbs before you go to bed.
You kissing my forehead when you see me.
Popping my back from your hugs.
Your t shirt smell (that is for real, they do smell for a while, I use them as pillow cases)
You complaining about the how the dogs drink their water TOO LOUD!
The way you play with Berkley and love love love the smile you put on her face.
How you do my dishes and have ever since we met.
How you steal my toothbrush even if yours is laying right there "it makes me feel closer to ya" ;)
How you ask me "where is my..." without even looking for it first.
How after you work out, you hug me and my shoulder stinks like your pitts afterward lol.
You rushing me to hurry and get ready even if we are going to be early somewhere.
The way you love my mama and call her beautiful.
How you took up for my sister just b/c she was pregnant, she could've punched me in the face and you would say "dont run into her fist like that"' lol
How you baby me if I say "I kinda don't feel very good" and you act like I'm on my death bed.
How you rub my back every single night to put both of us to bed.
Seeing how much my family adores you, which they will no matter if your here or there.
How you almost throw up when the puppies poot.. "Omg which one of you a holes did that" lol
How you know how to calm me down if something bothers me.
How you leave me sweet notes on random envelopes.
How my alarm clock is your voice.
Your sweet morning "good morning pretty girl, hope you have a good day" texts.
Our lazy days watching ID Discovery and not answering the door if the bell rings b/c we are freaked out lol.
The way you wake up extra early just so you can cuddle with me after you get ready for work.

I am the luckiest girl in the world and am soooo blessed to have the most amazing husband forever.

I could go on for days.  To be continued.  I love you Corey D.  Your my favorite best friend!

"Hold you loved ones extra tight and be thankful."
